Undrafted’s Weekly Football Acca – Week 1

Welcome to a new weekly group post by the football writers of Undrafted!

We have 9 members of our Premier League writing squad, so we are aiming for atleast 6 selections a week, giving us a nice juicy accumulator each Friday!

Each week we will combine and put together an acca with a total stake of £10, and see if we can manage to actually win one!

This weeks selections are as follows;

Christian – Brentford to beat Norwich

Simple reason – Norwich have so far been the worst team to have ever competed in the Premier league, in contrast to Brentford who have so far performed and competed to a high standard in their first season in the top tier. (Toney to score 2)

Chris – Millwall to beat Derby

Wayne Rooney and his Derby side have had their fair share of issues lately, and the 12 point deduction certainly hasn’t helped. Millwall on the other hand are playing fairly consistent football, and I’d fancy them to have enough to beat Derby, especially at home.

Danny – Fulham to beat Peterborough

Fulham currently sit 2nd in the Championship with their opponents struggling down in 20th. Fulham have won the previous 4 games, scoring 13 and conceding just 1. Alexander Mitrovic has 8 in his last 4 and is comfortably top goal scorer with 18 goals, I’d expect him to get on the scoresheet.

Jamie – Nottingham Forest to beat Preston North End

Having sacked Chris Hughton and brought in Steve Cooper, Forest have enjoyed an upturn in form, at home to Preston stick them on your acca with Lewis Grabban all the goals…..

Mike – Crystal Palace & Wolves – BTTS & Draw

Both teams are unbeaten in 5 games, so I think this is will be an evenly matched contest. On one hand, Palace will be high in spirits after an unlikely 2-0 away win against City, and their last 4 fixtures prior to that were score draws. Then on the other hand, Wolves have won 4 of their last 5 games, and both teams have scored in each of their last 4 fixtures. I wouldn’t overthink this one, it’s got score draw written all over it.

Murray – Spurs to beat Everton

First game for the new manager against an injury riddled Everton, who haven’t won a game since the 25th of September. The odds considering all that are decent and this for me is a banker. It’s about time Kane and Son started to get this season back on track for the fans.

Matt – West Brom to beat Middlesbrough

West Brom currently sit 3rd, just six points of the leaders although last 6 games form puts them 12th. Despite this, I think they are overpriced and should get a victory here against Middlesbrough. They are unbeaten at home all season, and Boro are not on form themselves, recording 3 wins in October, but against two teams who went on to sack their managers, and another who are a relegation certainty (Peterborough).

Tom – Brighton to beat Newcastle

Brighton started the season so so well, however have slightly dropped off. Opponents Newcastle though, have only picked up 4 points so far, with all 4 points coming from draws. I think Brighton will have too much for the newly rich Newcastle.

So there we have it! Our first Undrafted team acca! Final odds were a whopping 150/1, meaning we get £1500 back from our £10 if all 7 selections do in fact come in.

Fancy a flutter? Why not copy us! 🤞

Please gamble responsibly.
