UTN’s Player of the Week – Gameweek 6

It’s that time again where our Undrafted Football writers bring to you their Player of the week. Another top weekend of football, with many teams picking up good wins and vital points. But who do we think was the player of the week? Check out below.

Jose Sa

The Wolves keeper kept his side in the match against Southampton on Sunday. Without him, Wolves would have lost the game. Key saves. He even assisted the Raul Jiminez goal with a fantastic early kick out of his hands over Jan Bednarek’s head, for Jiminez to run onto and slot home in a cool fashion. Top performance from the Portuguese national.

Emile Smith Rowe

The “Croydon De Bruyne” as we hear every time he touches the ball. To his credit, he had a KDB-esque game. Getting on the end of a Saka pullback to give Arsenal the lead, then assisting Aubameyang for the second goal. The best thing about it all was, he did it in the North London derby. A game he will remember forever.

Ruben Dias

Watching the Chelsea v Manchester City game, the real standout performer had to be Ruben Dias. He marshalled the City defence excellently and kept Romelu Lukaku quiet. Finally, the Citizens have a Kompany-esque defender and leader.

Let us know who you think deserved a mention as Player of the week!
