It’s that time again where our Undrafted Football writers bring to you their Player of the week. Another top weekend of football, with many teams picking up good wins and vital points. But who do we think was the player of the week? Check out below.
Having watched the West Ham v United game on Sunday, if it wasn’t for this man, United could have had 5 or 6. He made some fantastic saves. And was extremely unlucky to be on the losing side. Top performance from the Polish International.
I must admit I didn’t get to see much football this weekend, however, the game that I did get to watch was Wolves v Brentford.
Brentford were exceptional, and it would be easy to just single out Ivan Toney as the main man, however, the performances of the defence impressed me massively. Pontus Jansson had a great game, but new signing Kristoffer Ajer was my player of the weekend. He always looked in control, and when he wasn’t defending he was adding to the attack. An all-round fantastic performance.
It seems a little strange to award my player of the week to someone who played just 21 minutes, but there is a good reason! With an assist and goal to his name his introduction, no matter how brief, changed the game for Aston Villa and showed the fans exactly what sort of exciting player he could prove to be for them…as long as he doesn’t make a habit of hitting the ball so hard he injures himself again!
So there we have it, our choices for Player of the week! Let us know who your player of the week was and why!
