Undrafted – The Network

Undrafted the Network’s – Player of the week!

A new feature that will be dropping on a weekly basis will be our “Undrafted the Network’s – Player of the week!”. We will be bringing together our football connoisseurs weekly, to bring to you, our fans, some more great content.

Last weekend’s fixtures featured the return of two top-class players to their former clubs. Both hit the ground running with a brace each. But did any of them catch the eye of our writers? Let’s see who each one selected as their player of the week!

Paul Pogba

All the talk will have been about Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a brace on his return to Old Trafford, but it was Pogba who stood out for me in the middle of the park. Spraying balls about left, right, and centre, and popping up with another 2 assists to add the 5 he has had in previous games.

What people don’t realise is that Paul has been playing like this for a few years, but he now finally has the quality forward line to finish the chances he puts on a plate. World Class.

Odsonne Edouard

Despite only playing 7 minutes on Sunday, Edouard managed 2 goals in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 demolition of Tottenham.

Unfortunately, due to CR7 scoring a brace on his second debut for Manchester United, the Frenchman has seemingly been somewhat overlooked this week.

Edouard was a standout star for Celtic, and he’s already shown what he is capable of in London, with more goals expected this season.

The boy is on fire! Another game and another goal for what is fast looking like the bargain buy of the summer. A cracking display for the man in blue, he rightfully received his standing ovation from a jubilant Goodison Park.
