Undrafted Premier League 2021/22 – Game Week 4

The international break is a Premier Leagues fan worst nightmare, especially after just 3 weeks. Saying this if you are an Arsenal fan it probably couldn’t have come at a better time, for obvious reasons. Looking ahead to Game week 4 and the return of the Premier League, all the Undrafted writers have been asked to provide their opinions and predictions for the 3 biggest fixtures happening this weekend! These Include: Leicester vs Man City / Liverpool vs Leeds / Norwich vs Arsenal.

A repeat of the Community shield that was only 4 weeks ago, where the foxes came out on top with a 1-0 win following an Iheanacho penalty. Will it be a repeat of the same result? I doubt it. Leicester are really struggling with injuries across their entire back line, add that to the fact city have had back to back 5-0 wins over Arsenal and Norwich, I think the Manchester side will edge it.

Score Prediction: Leicester 1-3 Manchester City

Liverpool vs Leeds

Will more than likely be the highest scoring game of the weekend. Leeds don’t enjoy defending at all and will likely leave some serious  space for Jota, Mane and Salah to run into. BUt as much as Leeds can’t defend, they can attack pretty well when they turn it on and I can see them nicking a few goals themselves. Leeds could really do with a result this weekend, having not won in 3. Big game.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 3-2 Leeds

Norwich vs Arsenal

A relegation 6 pointer just 4 weeks into the season. Poor Arsenal.  A Torrid start to the season fixture wise, but some really poor displays. Last week’s trouncing against Man City was embarrassing. The lack of effort and commitment from the players spoke volumes. A must win game for manager Mikel Arteta, or he will be shown the door. It’s lucky for the gunners that Norwich are just that little bit worse.

Score Prediction: Norwich 1-3 Arsenal

Leicester vs Manchester City

Probably the standout game of the weekend by far, and what I expect to be a seriously tactical affair.

Leicester will undoubtedly plan on being solid at the back, but between the shaky Leicester defence and the seriously talented Manchester City frontline, all I can see is a Man City win.

Score Prediction: Leicester 1-3 Manchester City

Liverpool vs Leeds

The game being at Elland Road helps Leeds massively for obvious reasons, and the all guns blazing approach from Marcelo Bielsa will definitely provide some nerves for Jurgen Klopp and his men. But.. and there always is a but.. I just believe the Leeds gung-ho approach rarely works against the bigger sides. The Liverpool back 4 are no mugs, and rarely concede many goals, if any at all.

Will Salah get on the Scoresheet?

The front 3 of Mane – Salah – Jota will have a field day against the slower Leeds defence, and the only outcome I can see is 3 points returning to Anfield.

Score Prediction: Leeds 0-3 Liverpool

Norwich vs Arsenal

Arsenal have had a horrific start to the season, let’s not beat around the bush. However, Norwich City are basically the equivalent of a bouncy ball, jumping from the Championship to Premier League, and back down again season after season. They just aren’t that great.

Despite Arsenal’s obvious issues in their defence, they still have Aubameyang, Lacazette, Pepe, Smith Rowe and Saka up top. They could quite easily stick 4 or 5 past the woeful Norwich defence, and not worry about their own back 4 making a mess of the game.

Let’s be honest, it would be funny if Arsenal were to lose, however it just isn’t going to happen against Norwich this weekend.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 4-1 Norwich

Christian Obray

Leicester vs Manchester City

Quite a tasty tie to look forward to. I feel it is a match which could be won or lost in the opening 15-20 minutes. If the game is still evenly poised at that point then I would back Leicester to sneak a 1-0 win. I do feel however that Grealish, Sterling and Torres are in the kind of form where they will take the match away from Leicester before they manage to get a foothold, as we know too well, with Vardy they always stand a chance.

Score Prediction: Leicester 0 – 2 Manchester City

Liverpool vs Leeds

Liverpool are going about their business this season sitting with 7 points from 3 games and no eyes or even real expectation being placed on them due to their very quiet transfer window. Leeds on the other hand are yet to win a game and have yet to click into the form that served them well last season. This could be a very tasty match and one which I think could see a one or two red cards, Liverpool will have the edge being at home but I do feel it will be a very tightly contested match.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 1 – 0 Leeds

Norwich vs Arsenal

Have Arsenal ever entered the fourth game of the season under so much genuine pressure before now? Probably not. This match is huge, it is quite something to write, let alone believe but it is true. Arsenal need to win and win they should against the Yo-Yo’s that are Norwich. Norwich squad is poor and no matter how bad Arsenal have been so far this season you would expect an Arsenal win from this game with the talent they do still possess, that is not to say they will win and is also why I am predicting a draw.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 1 – 1 Norwich

Murray Pugh

Leicester vs Manchester City

Easily the fixture of the week for me, both teams having lost a game already this season, they’ll be looking to get through this game unscathed. Man City are still missing De Bruyne and Foden but have plenty of firepower with in form Torres at the forefront of the attack. Leicester are missing Perez through suspension, if anything is a benefit for the foxes. This will be a close game but I can’t see Man City not winning this one, the Leicester defence just doesn’t fill me with confidence at all.

Score Prediction: Leicester 0-1 Man City

Liverpool vs Leeds

Goals, goals, goals and more goals. All-out attacking Leeds vs one of the best attacking teams in the history of the Premier League. For me, Liverpool win this quite easily but they aren’t leaving Elland Road with a clean sheet. While the defence may not be leaving with a clean sheet, I reckon Mo Salah will be leaving with the match ball.

Score Prediction: Leeds 2-4 Liverpool

Norwich vs Arsenal

The first 6 pointer of the season for bottom of the table Arsenal, who are looking to kick start their campaign and beat league yo-yo’ers Norwich. Serious note though Arsenal HAVE to win this game for multiple reasons. Arteta will be quaking in his Hugo Boss trainers should the Gunners fail to score for the fourth consecutive fixture. With a fully fit squad I expect Arsenal to easily get into the top 10, pushing into the European positions. As for Norwich, well, I called them a yo-yo club for a reason. Arsenal will just have too much for Norwich.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Norwich
