Top 5 Signings – Premier League 21/22

With seemingly most of the big deals done for Premier League sides, let’s take a look at the top 5 transfers that have taken place so far!

5. Patson Daka – RB Salzburg to Leicester City – £23m

Let’s start off with quite an edgy one. Patson Daka played alongside Erling Haaland during his time in Salzburg, and like Haaland, is thought very highly of.

Last season in Austria, Daka scored an extraordinary 27 league goals in 28 appearances.

At just 22, Daka has bundles of talent and speed, and reminds me of Jamie Vardy, who will be the perfect influence as Daka begins his journey in the Premier League.

4. Jadon SanchoBorussia Dortmund to Manchester United – £73m

The first Manchester United signing to make the list is young Englishman Jadon Sancho.

After originally leaving Manchester City for Dortmund, Sancho went from strength to strength in Germany, earning high praise from Erling Haaland, with the Norwegian devastated that Sancho has left.

Still only 21, Sancho seemingly has his best years ahead of him, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping his new star man can help his United side really push for the Premier League title.

3. Jack Grealish – Aston Villa to Manchester City – £100m

Jack Grealish leaving Aston Villa and joining Manchester City didn’t really shock anyone, however the sheer array of talent in that City squad continues to shock.

There’s no doubting how much talent Grealish has, but I’d just love Manchester City to sign a top class striker to accompany the likes of Grealish, Sterling and De Bruyne.

Grealish will bring more flare and creativity, and will win his side hundreds of free kicks over the season, and no doubting City will be fighting for the title come May.

2. Raphael Varane – Real Madrid to Manchester United – £36m

It’s no secret that Manchester United did in fact struggle to defend last season, especially set pieces. Harry Maguire is a fantastic defender, however he was screaming out for a partner.

Raphael Varane is a perfect partner. During his time at Madrid, he became one of the best defenders in the world, winning 18 major trophies including 4 Champions League’s.

Let’s no forget that Varane has played no less than 79 games for France, winning the 2018 World Cup with Les Bleus, playing every single minute of the tournament.

Varane will be a perfect fit for United, and I’m looking forward to seeing another World Cup winning in the Premier League.

1. Romelu Lukaku – Inter Milan to Chelsea – £97m

Now, before I start, £97m for a footballer is crazy. Just like £100m for Jack Grealish is crazy.

However.. Chelsea need a striker. Romelu Lukaku could be the perfect fit, and just the target man for the youngsters to find in the box.

Lukaku is a new man since leaving the Premier League, and if he continues his goal scoring prowess in London, he could be the best signing of the summer.
