Top 4 Prediction:

  1. Manchester City
  2. Manchester United
  3. Chelsea
  4. Liverpool

But why?

City will win it again. The way they can rotate gives them the edge over everyone else.

United have made 2 massive signings in Sancho and Varane and I think we will push on again this year. But still lacking a quality defensive midfielder to allow our midfield to really go for it so will come up short.

Chelsea now have their talisman striker in Romelu Lukaku. But is he another striker who goes to Stamford Bridge to see his career die? Time will tell. But I think Chelsea won’t be as solid this year and will come a bit unstuck. I can see Tuchel Chelsea career being similar to Di Matteo…

Liverpool will make the top 4 with their key players returning to the team. I just don’t think they have enough through the middle up front in Firmino and that will cost them points.

Top 4 Prediction:

  1. Manchester City
  2. Manchester United
  3. Chelsea
  4. Liverpool

But why?

Unless we have another miracle like when Leicester won the league, Manchester City will be the Champions. Putting it out there, they’ll go unbeaten. The calibre of the squad is incomparable to the rest of the league, and that’s without putting Kane in there. The other 3 teams I’ve chosen I’m confident they’ll be in the top 4 but the order is anyone’s guess. Going off last season and the money the owners have spent on the team this transfer window I reckon United will clinch the second spot. Now they’ll be closer to third place than they will be to City but they’ve got a squad that can comfortably claim second. Chelsea will be on a high from winning the Champions League for the second time in the clubs history. Also with adding Lukaku into the mix it could get very tasty for the battle for second.

Limping home in fourth place will be Liverpool. Net Spend FC have done it again and made a profit in another transfer window, the only people being happy with this is of course the owners. Klopp must be fuming inside that he can’t go out and buy a striker after not having one for the last three seasons. Liverpool have a strong enough squad to see them claim a top 4 spot but except from just doing that, I’m not confident they’ll do much else. Narrowly missing out again, again is Leicester. They’ve got another great squad for this season but I just don’t think it’s good enough to take on the 4 other team’s I have mentioned. Vardy is eventually going to decline and that will massively effect their progress.

Top 4 Prediction:

  1. Liverpool
  2. Chelsea
  3. Manchester City
  4. Manchester United

It comes as no shock to see the North West of England back on top. It comes in waves, and swings from London to North West dominance every few years. Chelsea still fly the flag for London, but the other contenders from the Capital are laughably off the pace.

Liverpool for me should be back to their dominant best after a year off relaxing and fighting for the top 4. Virgil ‘Big Virg’ Van Dijk will be back after a Pickford shortened season and he will himself want to prove he is still the best defender in the league. In his absence the other teams have caught up, but on their day Liverpool can still beat anyone and I expect them to.

Chelsea bringing in Lukaku is a great piece of business and as per usual for Chelsea they pay Millions of pounds for a player who had but could not recognise his ability. I expect them to do this on rinse and repeat for the rest of time to be honest. With that being said, Lukaku has never truly succeeded at Chelsea and he will want to change that record. With him scoring they are top 2 bound, however if he cannot find his shooting boots, they will fall away fast.

Manchester City cannot win the Champions League is the current and prevailing narrative in England’s true second city and honestly it is easy to see why. Going out on multiple occasions to teams they are comfortably better than is their modus operandi, however this season that will all change. It will however come at the expense of a true title challenge.

Manchester United are easily ahead of Tottenham, Arsenal, Leicester and the like when it comes to league position, however while under the tutelage of Ole, they will not bring home the Premier League. He is honestly just not good enough, especially when tactically challenged by a better manager and it shows. While 4th may seem like disappointment to many a Utd fan, it might just be what they need to replace nostalgia with an actually competent manager.

Top 4 Prediction:

  1. Chelsea
  2. Manchester City
  3. Liverpool
  4. Manchester United

Predicting the Premier League winner was tough, however guessing the top 4 really isn’t.

Chelsea are my predicted league winners. I just think the young project that is in full swing in West London is going from strength to strength, and the addition of Romelu Lukaku could be the final piece of the puzzle.

Manchester City, as the reigning champions are pretty much guaranteed to make top 4 purely on the strength of Guardiola’s squad.

Liverpool had a rather average season last year, however with the addition of Konate and the return of Van Dijk, the Reds defence is suddenly one of the best in the world. I’m not sure they have enough strength to win the league, but they’re definitely in my top 4.

Finally we have Manchester United. The signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are massive. Sancho oozes talent, and Varane is a perfect addition to a rather shaky United defence. With the likes of Mason Greenwood rapidly improving, I think they could have a fantastic season, and they round off my top 4!
