Dare To Dream – Racing Blog – 28th June – 4th July

After a quiet last week, we swing back into action this week with a number of runners.

I was down at Attwater Racing on Saturday, and all of the horses look excellent and the ones that worked did so extremely well!

Our new unnamed 2YO working nicely on Saturday!

This week we could have up to 6 runners if the weather goes our way, so let’s get into the entries.

Tuesday 29th June – 4.10 Brighton – Minhaaj

We’re not too sure on the weather so we’ve got Minhaaj entered both here at Brighton, and at Bath on Wednesday.

The Brighton race has cut up nicely with just the 6 runners declared. One which is also declared for Wednesday.

She wouldn’t want any cut in the ground, as we found out at Goodwood, she’s a horse who loves fast ground.

Hopefully Brighton can stay quite firm because she’d have to have a massive chance of getting her head infront.

Wednesday 30th June – 6.25 Bath – Street Parade / Minhaaj

Another race that will massively depend on the weather is the 6.25 at Bath.

Both horses wouldn’t want much rain at all, and if it was to come, we likely wouldn’t run them.

If Brighton is too soft for Minhaaj, Bath probably will be also.

If all goes to plan and we can run Street Parade, he’s another that should go very close. He’s been there or thereabouts recently, and he’s a horse that is slowly regaining his confidence while slipping down the weights.

Wednesday 30th June – 8.35 Kempton – Physics

Probably the most interesting runner of the week is Physics.

It’s no secret that he has issues with his feet, and when running at Goodwood he lost a shoe early on, which was on the problem foot.

He’s been fine ever since, and we really hope to see him run a much better race for us this week.

12 have declared, so aslong as he runs a nice race we will be very happy.

Thursday 1st July – 3.30 Yarmouth – Swiss Flamingo

A busy day on Thursday sees Swiss Flamingo go to Yarmouth to kick us off.

Another horse who lost both front shoes last time out, and we can draw a line through that run.

She seems really well handicapped on what she’s shown us, and we hope she can show more of what she shows at home, where she works really nicely.

Thursday 1st July – 5.53 Newbury – Vandad

Ever since joining us, Vandad has been a pleasure. He’s run his heart out numerous times, and has serious pace.

It’s a tough apprentice race, but this could be a perfect opportunity for him to finally get his head in front.

Rhys Clutterbuck is on board, so atleast we have a jockey who we know and is in fantastic form.

Thursday 1st July – 8.08 Epsom – Rhubarb Bikini

Our final runner of Thursday sees Rhubarb Bikini go to Epsom.

He’s a horse rated 80, and we know there’s some serious potential with him.

We’ve been running him over a mile, but after last time William Carson really liked the thought of stepping him up to 1m 2f.

This is what we’ve done here, and he should run a really nice race despite being top weight.

Let’s hope for minimal rain, so we can see all 6 horses run.

As always, best of luck to all owners involved, see you at the tracks!
