Euro 2020/21 is just around the corner now, which means the time has come for us to make some bold predictions about what will happen. In this article, Undrafted The Network writers make their tournament predictions for who they believe will tally up the most assists.
Most Assists Winner Prediction – Serge Gnabry
A fine young player. Exciting to watch and can create and score from nothing. I think a lot of people are writing the germans off due to poor form over recent times, but with this being Joachim Low’s final swansong, I think they might shock a few people and Serge Gnabry will be the man to make things happen.
Most Assists Winner Prediction – Mason Mount
Over the past 18 months, I’ve been raving about Mason Mount. I wouldn’t be being honest with myself if I went with anyone else except Mount. I just feel his all round game is going to make England tick during the summer, and with Harry Kane, Phil Foden & Raheem Sterling likely to start further forward, I think this is a perfect opportunity for Mason Mount to rack up the assists.
Most Assists Winner Prediction – Bruno Fernandes
The man with the most assists in the Premier league will carry his form into the Euro’s. He’ll also have Ronaldo on the end of all his passes, which can only be a good thing. After the phantom assist he had for Cavani, I truly believe with the luck he has, he will break the most assists record that Karel Poborský currently holds at 8.
Most Assists Winner Prediction – Kevin De Bruyne
With one of the easier groups, and reeling from recently watching his Premier League title go to a Striker of all people, De Bruyne will gunning to right the ship. Belgium have a group consisting of Russia, Denmark and Finland, and they will be primed to score big on route to a hopeful group win. Expect De Bruyne to do the Lions share of the playmaking on route to an Assist title.
Most Assists Winner Prediction – Thomas Muller
You heard it here first. Thomas Muller is walking away with the most assists at Euro 2020/21. Get your bets on now, it’s almost a dead cert.
But why? We’ll the 31-year-old German forward recently finished with the most assists in Europe’s top five leagues for a second straight season. He had 19 assists for the Bundesliga champions this season. Whilst the Germans have a tough group on paper (group of death), they always seem to turn it on come crunch time, and the way they play compliments Mullers skill set extremely well.
