Dare To Dream – Racing Blog – 24th – 30th May

Last week turned out to be a quiet week for Dare To Dream.

We planned to have numerous runners, however for one reason or another we decided against running most.

Big Time Maybe ended up being our only runner of the week, finishing a respectable 5th of 11 at Brighton. He’s still running consistently without winning, but we have faith he will get his head in front soon enough.

Our trainer Michael Attwater had a nice 3YO winner on debut last week, with Far Too Beautiful winning at Lingfield, which came as a surprise for Michael, as was evident during his post race interview! Congratulations to the yard nonetheless, it’s great to see winners coming out of the stables.

We planned to have a handful of runners for the week ahead, however with the drastic downpours we’ve had recently, a lot of those plans have gone out the window!

We should have 2 or 3 of our runners out this week, all being well.

Tuesday 24th May – 8.35 Lingfield – Vandad

Our first runner of the week comes in the form of Vandad. He made a great start to life for Dare To Dream a couple of weeks ago, finishing 2nd to an improving sort at Lingfield.

He goes back to the Surrey track in great form, and should have an excellent chance at getting his head in front.

William Carson rides, and he’s drawn nicely in 3. We expect him to go very well indeed.

Friday 28th May – 5.20 Yarmouth – Fujaira King

Fujaira King was due to run last week, but we decided to send him to Yarmouth on Friday instead.

We hope the track will suit him nicely, and that the step up to 1m will help him regain some of his mojo.

He’s dropped to an all time low mark, and if he shows just 50% of his talent he should go very close. If it doesn’t go as well, we’d have to sit down and have a conversation as to what to do next with the horse.

Friday 28th May – 2.50 Brighton – Street Parade

Street Parade was originally going to Salisbury on Saturday, however its a complete swamp at the moment, and have chosen to go to Brighton instead.

He’s been a horse that needed to regain some confidence, and hopefully that is finally coming. The team at home have put a lot of effort into him and it would mean a great deal if he could notch up a win.

Hopefully the ground is back to normal (ish!) by Friday, and he would have a nice chance.

Saturday 29th May – 1.45 Haydock – Concierge

After his spiffing victory at Newbury, Concierge has gone up to a rating of 88.

Haydock on Saturday would be one option for him. It’s a tough race, but these are the big Saturday races that we got him for.

Hopefully the race will cut up nicely for him, and we can take our chance.

From Sales Ring to Racecourse

Physics far side, working on Saturday morning.

Physics was again on the gallops Saturday, to have a nice canter in front of his owners.

He looks in great form, and he should only be a week or so away from his first run for Dare To Dream.

It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks for the team with numerous runners, and possibly another yard to have some horses with!

Exciting times ahead, and hopefully by next week we will have more information!

Once again, best of luck to all our owners and horses, it’s great to see racecourses opening their doors to spectators.
