Welcome back all, we hope you have had a nice long bank holiday weekend!
I think it’s fair to say that last week was average in terms of results. Not bad, but not our greatest.
Street Parade ran a fair race at Brighton on Tuesday, coming 4th but beaten just a length. It was however, a fantastic day out at the seaside added with a spot of racing!
The same track, a day later, Fujaira King ran another slightly disappointing race. As we touched on last week, there’s no hiding that it’s been tough for all involved recently with Fujaira.
Something Lucky ran at Lingfield on Thursday, finishing 4th. He’s very consistent and runs his races, he’s just struggling to win this season. Hopefully his time will come very soon.
Our final two runners came in the forms of Concierge and Minhaaj on Friday at Goodwood. We expected both to run good races and they did. Concierge lost a shoe but did plug on to come 3rd. Minhaaj needed the run as we expected, but still ran a nice race to come 5th.
Tuesday 4th May – 2.30 Lingfield – Rhubarb Bikini
We planned to run Cappananty Con at Lingfield on Tuesday, however he’s got a slight snotty nose, and he didn’t scope as clean as we wanted. We will give him a week and then he’ll be ready and raring to go.
Rhubarb Bikini however, will be going to Lingfield. Since joining us, he’s ran two nice races without getting his head in front. We hope this will change on Tuesday, in what looks an open race.
If our lad runs as well as he has been, he’d have a massive chance.
Rhubarb has been fantastic since we got him, and hopefully he can get the win that he deserves.
Saturday 8th May – 4.35 Lingfield – Swiss Flamingo
Our final runner of the week sees Swiss Flamingo travel up the road to Lingfield.
She’s been quite impressive I must admit, during her two racecourse appearances.
Last time out she went up against a trio of very nice horses and managed to come best of the rest running on really strongly. She’s still slightly green so hopefully she will learn a bit more here, and get a nice mark ahead of the summer.
Swiss is a nice horse. She’s still very green and learning, but she’s improving every time she sets foot on the track.
From Sales Ring to Racecourse
Not too much to report on Physics this week, but no news is good news!
He’s been out galloping on the downs, and looks in great form.
Hopefully next week we will have more information, and more of an idea of when and where he will run his first race for Dare To Dream!
Hope you all have a great short week, and best of luck to all our horses and owners!
