Welcome back to the weekly Dare To Dream racing blog!
Again both runners last week ran consistently. Cappananty Con just didn’t get the toe in to the race that he needed, and therefore had to set his own pace. He ran very well considering, and plugged on to grab 3rd.
A day later, Rhubarb Bikini had a disruptive journey to Chelmsford.
The M25 was partly closed due to an accident, leaving both trainer Michael and horse stuck in traffic. Thankfully they managed to reach the Essex course in time, but he definitely wasn’t helped by the delay.
Rhubarb did again, run very well, and came 4th but he was behind a couple of very nice sorts.
Both horses came out of their respective races fine, and will be ready to go again in the near future!
Onto the week ahead, and a busy week indeed!
Tuesday 27th April – 3.35 Brighton – Street Parade
Street Parade is a horse that just needed to regain his confidence. When we got him, he’d run in top events and struggled, therefore his confidence went downhill.
He is now, however, getting back to his best, and he’s really flourishing down at Attwater Racing.
The race has cut up nicely, leaving just the 5 runners.
Hopefully he can continue his improvement, and run a mighty race to kick start the week.
Street Parade is bouncing at home, and looks a picture. Hopefully he can soon get the win he deserves.
Wednesday 28th April – Fujaira King – 7.25 Brighton
Our second runner of the week comes in the form of Fujaira King. Since coming to us, it’s fair to say he hasn’t shown his full potential.
Hopefully however, he is extremely well handicapped, and we’d love to see him run well here.
Fujaira King has been working well at home, and hopefully he shows this on the track. Fingers crossed.
Thursday 29th April – 3.00 Lingfield – Something Lucky
Something Lucky is not getting any younger, however he’s been a model of consistency since joining us.
A horse that owes us absolutely nothing, but is however well handicapped. Hopefully he can run a nice race, and another who deserves to chalk up a win.
Something Lucky is a nice consistent sort, hopefully he can run another big race and be there at the finish.
Friday 30th April – 1.00 Goodwood – Concierge & Minhaaj
On Friday at Goodwood, we have two of our higher rated horses going against each other.
Concierge ran a mighty race last time out at Newmarket, and should be right in the shakeup.
Minhaaj has had nearly 6 months off the track, so she will need the race. Despite this, we still expect her to run really well, and would love a 1-2!!
Both horses are doing well at home. Concierge has the race fitness edge on Minhaaj, but hopefully both can run nice races.
From Sales Ring to Racecourse
Our latest update on the cheeky Physics!
We found that he was slightly sore on his feet recently, so we got the vet in to X-ray his feet and legs.
The vet found absolutely nothing wrong with him, which is fantastic news.
He will be cantering next week, and his first race for Dare To Dream will be in the very near future!
Thank you for reading, fingers crossed for a great week, and good luck to all our owners! 😊
