Dare To Dream – Racing Blog – 19th – 25th April

We start off with last weeks results. A fantastic week of racing for Dare To Dream.

Concierge pre race at Newmarket.

Firstly, I was lucky enough to be at Newmarket on Wednesday to watch Concierge run a massive race to finish 3rd in a class 2 handicap. The ground didn’t suit him too much, however he plugged on and ran excellently.

A few hours later, Swiss Flamingo ran in just her second ever race at Kempton.

Again, our owners were present to watch her run a mighty race to finish 4th in a seriously hot contest.

One more race and she will get a handicap mark, which will be nothing but a good thing for the filly.

The final runner of last week, was at Brighton.

Street Parade is seemingly coming back to form, running on well to finish a close up 3rd.

All three horses have come out of their races well, and we will look to run them again in the very near future!

Two runners for Dare To Dream this week, are as follows.

Wednesday 21st April – 6.40 Lingfield – Cappananty Con

Cappananty Con has been nothing short of fantastic since joining the Attwater yard. He’s a consistent and likeable sort, and always wears his heart on his sleeve.

He’s a much better horse on the all-weather compared to the turf, and runs back at Lingfield after a jaunt to Bath a couple of weeks back.

He wasn’t disgraced at all that day, but he showed that he much prefers the synthetic surfaces.

It’s a tough old race, but we’d hope he runs well, and a top 3 finish would be excellent.

Trainers Notes;

Cappananty Con is in great form at home, and he will enjoy the return to Lingfield. We are very hopeful of a good run.

Thursday 22nd April – 7.45 Chelmsford – Rhubarb Bikini

Rhubarb has only been with us for a matter of weeks, but has proven a brilliant acquisition for the yard.

The 4 year old ran his first race for us a couple of weeks back, and gave it an almighty go from the front, being beat just a length to finish second, but 7 lengths clear of third.

This gives us great hope going into another tough race at Chelmsford, and fingers crossed that he can give it another good crack from the front.

Trainers Notes;

Rhubarb came out of his last race very well, so we take him back to Chelmsford where he seemed to enjoy. Hopefully he runs a nice race.

From Sales Ring to Racecourse

As we touched on last week, we will be following the journey of a recent pickup for Dare To Dream.

Physics has been coming on leaps and bounds, and this week he has been galloping, slowly getting back to full fitness.

Here are a couple of photos of him in full swing Saturday!

We are really excited to see him back on a racetrack, with many of our loyal owners there to watch him!

Once again, everything crossed for 2 massive runs. Good luck to all of our owners!
