Undrafted – The Network

Dear Future NFL Players

When an old chapter closes another always opens. It’s funny to think that every stage in your life has a chapter. Just think about it. From the moment you were born to the moment you take your last breath, along the way are different chapters and stories you encounter throughout your life.

Some may be the best chapters of your life while others may bring loss and hardships. But those chapters make us who we are. They form us into the people that we were meant to be.

As I sit here and write this post, I think of the amazing chapter these young men have had. With encountering unbelievable wins and moments of defeat, it is time to close the chapter on the good old days and move on to their next chapter. The NFL!

College is supposed to be the best years of your life as people say. For many of these college football players, they had the opportunity to play a game that they love while also representing their Universities. From the rivalries to the traditions to the fan bases, college football is a special game. From the moment each of these athletes stepped foot on campus their freshmen year, greatness was ahead on their long journey as college football players.

Many of these college football players have one goal, to play in the National Football League. Well, getting to the NFL takes a lot of commitment, dedication, passion, and sacrifice. Over the past few years, I got to witness teenage boys transform into amazing young men. Each of these players has their stories and how they overcame the toughest of tough to get to where they are now and I have loved getting to opportunity to follow along on each of their journeys.

The game of college football has the power to change lives and that is what we see every Saturday. We witness each of these young men progress each week. We witness the moments of triumph and the downfalls of losses. We witness the unbreakable bond that these young men have with the game of football. We witness the love and passion for the game. But most of all, we witness the lives that are changed because of the game. Football has the power to change lives. For a majority of these players, football is their lifeline and it’s all they know. It has allowed them to not only play the game that they love but also get an education. It has molded them to overcome adversity and hardships and to be leaders and role modes for the younger generation. College football has allowed them to grow as a person.

Over the last few years, we got to witness some of our favorite players tackle the college football world. From Trevor Lawrence to Sam Ehlinger to Devonta Smith to Ja’Marr Chase and many more, we witnessed these young men grow and dominate.

It has been a pleasure to follow along on their college football journeys. As much as we will miss them rocking Bryant Denny stadium or Death Valley on Saturday afternoons, we will get to see them on their new journey as NFL Players. Getting to the NFL is one tough task to tackle, however, each of these young men has what it takes to play in the big leagues.

I am excited to see where each of these young men end up. It is finally time to hang up their college cleats and head on over to a new world of football.  THE NFL! I wish the 2021 NFL Draft class the best of luck on their new journeys and I can’t wait to watch them dominate on Sundays. May you all have safe and successful careers and I can’t wait to cheer you on!
